Default im beat added herculine to the bed

so i had the day and i notice my bed was looking pretty beat up. now its much better. i went to pep boys and got the herculine kit and applied it to my bed and bed caps. if you havent done it let me tell you its a bitch. well worth and by doing it myself i saved about 440 bucks. but its a real pain in the texas heat. im no pro at this, but i did the best i could and i really like the way it came out. i didnt get a chance to take before pics, but heres an after pic. if you have done this please post pics and let us see how you did.

Very awesome. It seems super glossy. Is that because it is still wet?

That looks awesome man. How beat and banged up are we talking before you applied this product? The reason I ask is because the quote I got for a professional paint job just about gave me a massive coronary and my wallet went into full rigor after hearing the total of $13K. That's almost what I paid for my truck and I am looking for an alternative.

well first off thanks for all the compliments. my bed had some pretty good scrapes and cuts. on a few i could put my fingernail in them. it is easy to apply but a pain. its all in how you apply it. i rooled it on but took a paint brush thats was added in the kit to fill in the dents and cuts. if you buy the kit it explains it all in the instructions. but yea def cheaper than anything else. i would rather have line x but its 500 bucks. if you have the time and drive to do it then its worth it. one quart would enough and then some to fix any problems you have. i plan on adding more coats in the future.

The body work is what ran it up so high. Mine just has too much body work needed to just repaint it. If it didn't need so much body work I'd be looking at $6K. Professional Body shops aint cheap at all.

Kool man thanks. My local body shop was basicly trying to rip me off. They wanted me to shell out around 13K to fix all of the problems with the body work and repaint it. I like the POR-15's version as well. They have a roll on bed liner kit as well, but I don't know how good their bed liner kit is though.
