Default How to remove Paint spots from the road?

Anyone know how I can remove paint spots without removing the truck paint. I must of went over the yellow line when it had just been painted.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Bill

try a clay bar. a good clay bar can remove overspray and I bet it would remove the road paint.

It's pretty thick, but I will give that a try? Any recommendations on brands to use? Meguiar's?

yeah, meguires, mothers, they are all good. If that doesnt work try a little lacquer thinner, it wont be strong enough to remove the factory finish but it should remove the road paint, just be sure to rinse it well after you use it and get a good coat of wax on after that.

Also you can use bug and tar remover a buddy of mine ran over a painted line in his f150 and that got it out, a little of that goes a long way and wax afterwards

Kerosine also works, it took tar off of my truck.

I've used easy off oven cleaner. Spray it on, let it sit for about 10 mins then wipe it off. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR GLOVES! Then wash it and throw a coat of wax on it

I went with the clay bar idea. I bought the mothers kit, worked like a charm. It got everything off without leaving a single mark on my truck. I just have a little more to do underneath my truck. I also have some on my tire flaps which I think I will use one of the other methods to get off, because I don't think the clay bar will work on that as it's a lot rougher.

Thanks Guys!! Glad to be apart of this fourm. I'll get some pictures of my ranger up soon.

How to remove Paint spots from the road? I think I would call the City or County where you live and let them know what road they are on, what color and how big they are!
Then if you get no results Call the Governors office!! LOLOLOL!!!

George.
