Default Newbie waxing question

Ok so today I went and invested in some wax and cleaning products after reading around here for a while and just needed some help or advice on how or in what order to apply the stuff I have. I searched for autoglym and couldnt find it so I went with meguiars nxt 2.0 also bought a clay bar set, compound with scratch remover and deep clean, and meguiars ultimate polish.

As per the stuff I have read I am not sure if I should use the clay bar or compound first though I assume the compound. Then the polish, and finally the wax. Just wondering if I could get some tips or advice on the process because I have never completely done it properly because I didn't know how to, please forgive me. I want to do things right with my second ranger!

im really into detailing cars, the compound is a more coarse abrasive while the polish is more fine. if it was me i would use the compound, then polish, then clay bar, then wax.

that next gen wax is pretty good stuff, i like the ulitmate by meguiars the best tho, try that sometime

well i just waxed my truck not to long ago with the meguairs nxt 2.0 and its pretty awesome stuff so good choice. first use the rubbing compound and apply it in a circular motion on the car.. yeah i know alot of work and time. wipe it off with a terry cloth towel then clay bar it it will get rid of any swirl marks or water marks and nasty gunk on the paint that your eye may or may not see and wipe it off with the same kind of towel. and then hit it up with the scratch stuff. but only on the scratches cause its a really small bottle. and then apply the polish part of it again in small circular motion. then take a terry cloth towel and remove the polish. and then repeat the polish part again. that should make that baby sooo smooth and ubber shiny (yes i said ubber).... thats what i do and it works well.

P.S. do it in the shade it helps alot

Its all good man I still say uber myself lol And this is a great write up and thats what sucks. Now I have contradicting methods lol you two both have me going compound first then clay bar and so on where as dixie suggests clay bar first then compound. and I am not saying either way is wrong just still torn between which way to go lol

Looks good as far,as compound vs clay bar is this a clay bar removes stuff that was left on like tar and stuff after a good washing and compound wax. But it doesnt matter either way really
