You got that right. Nothing shines like black does when it's clean. The only thing that comes close is chrome/silver.

STP puts it out if I'm not mistaken and is alot cheaper than what you'd find in walmart. It won't stay clean for me here due to the fact that I live on a dirt road.

Re: Am I the only one who hates armor all on their tires
they make dust shields to help keep the dust off the wheels
other than that there is no magic cure for brake dust, just the name of the game when you drive a vehicle. some pads create less dust than others but over time all pads will get dust on your wheels.

Different brake pad material is really the only way. I just switched from Semi-Metallic to Ceramics. They still dust but not anywhere near as much as the Semi-Metallics. And I think I'm going to try The Black Box in preperation for Carlisle All Truck Nationals.

Re: Am I the only one who hates armor all on their tires
I like Black Magic. After spraying I work it in with a rag. It keeps
my tires nice and black for days, even after it rains.
I use Armor-all on my interior only.

Re: Am I the only one who hates armor all on their tires
brake dust on my rims is impossible to see. thats why i love mags. But water spots is a hole different ball game. i use and love "Black magic" on my tires and all other black plastic parts on the truck to keep them from cracking from the desert sun we have here. Should of seen my old bed rails that didn't have any protection or moisturizer on them. Cracked up bad.

Re: Am I the only one who hates armor all on their tires
First I prefer my interior to have a matte look, and prefer my tires to have that same look.

Re: Am I the only one who hates armor all on their tires
Just clean your rims on both sides regularly and you wont have to worry about brakedust or anything else. I never realized till I watched a car restoration show that you should keep the inside of the rim clean, not just the outside!
as for tire shine, the only way to do it is to find a silicone-free product like Stoner More Shine. This stuff isnt really a dressing. It just keeps the tire super black without being greasy. And forget about "no-touch". You have to wipe it on to do it right. I use a big piece of foam which makes it fast and easy. Like Dixie said clean black matte is the way to go!

HOWEVER, I dont mind it on cars, it actually looks good, but on my pickup, I hate it
