Default Zymol Results on Black Paint job.....

Hey guys,
here are some before, during and after photos using Zymol Cleaner Wax on black paint. The results were incredible to say the least.

Before: A photo I took a little over a month ago:

Here is the only thing I used besides Meguiars Gold Class carwash:

This is some of the photos during the wax job I did earlier today and what it is supposed to look like before you remove it by hand:

here are the results after removing the wax and using my California Car duster. I applied the wax with a random orbital buffer I got from Advanced Autoparts years ago. I removed the wax by hand with a cotton terry towel.

All I used this time around was Zymol cleaner wax. I recomend this to those whom have black paint. I also recomend using either a car duster or another clean cotton terry towel will do after you remove the wax, because it does tend to be a little dusty after you remove it.

Yes it does extremely well on any color really, but it's exceptional on black for some reason. It's one of the best cleaner waxes of all time. It's also been availible for well over a decade now too. Year after year, it has out done many of wax formulas in terms of shine and longevity more than any other wax in history. I've seen alot of wax formulas come and go over the years, some didn't even last a year. The only other wax I'd use would be RainX Ultra Wax, which they don't make any more. You can get either just the wash, or get the wash and wax formula carwash they have. It stayed around for about 3 years, give or take.

I just wish they kept the liquid version of RainX Ultra Wax around because with that stuff, I can do 2 rangers in about an hour and a half! drying time included. That's how good the ultra wax was. With Zymol over 3 to 4 hours for one ranger. Zymol does take forever to dry and isn't exactly easy to remove either. Plus it does become extremely dusty when you use it. It does come off easier if you use Zymol Autowash, which I can't find locally. I did find it on the web though.

Yes it is. If anyone wants to spend the time cleaning their ranger, or any other vehicle that matter, then this is one of the best wax formulas you can use. You ought to see what it can do for heavy oxidized paint finishes. This is the only cleaner wax on the market to use in that situation. Not even Meguiar's has anything that can touch it in terms of oxidized paint finishes.

It's one of my secrets. After doing this technique, during a severe rain storm I almost never have to use my wipers. Even if it's coming down in buckets, I still have a clear feild of vision. It also makes removing bugs from your windsheild alot easier too. Road grime, tar, bugs, and tree sap comes clean off with ease after doing this.

Its all stuck in your ranger emblem. :/

Im not talking about the windows lol. Im talking about the amount of wax, on trim and all....:/ Thats why you have dust problems...lol, Next time, I would probably go easy on it, wax is supposed to be applied in thin layers, think about it, when you apply it thick, the top of the wax coat is doing nothing, just wasting it really.

Dont get me wrong man, truck looks good though!

Truck does look good. I also apply some on the window.

How many bottles of wax did it take?

I agree with Scott way overboard on the wax

Oh anything really. Me personally, I'm a diehard Meguiar's product fan. everything in my arsenal is Meguiar's except for that Auto Glym wax I picked up. i wanted to try it because it is a high end wax and has awesome reviews. Also, after seeing the way that water reacts to it in STL's review thread of it and the way it shines paint, I really cant wait to try it.

With that being said, Ive been wanting to try Zymol and Zaino was well, Like I said, I love wax and trying out new waxes. As far as what I recommend, he said he was having a dusting problem, I think his culprit is the amount of wax. I also think that if he applied thin layers, it would solve that problem (but then again, it could be the wax). I bet he would see better results if he applied two thin layers (apply one, wipe off, apply another, wipe off). Also, not doing the entire truck at one time. I only let my wax cure for 15-20 minutes, then remove. Im gonna say it took him longer than 15-20 minutes to do that entire truck. Also, I try not to wax my trim, that is what exterior dressing is for. I do like that he waxes his windows, i may try that trick.

I usually wax the hood and the fenders, then remove. Then I wax the driver door and supercab part, then remove. then do a bedside, remove, and so on. If I am claybarring the vehicle, I do one panel at a time. I will clay the hood, then use paint cleaner on it, then polish, then wax, then move to the next panel..

I know everyone's techniques are different, just giving my $.02 if they mean anything

Very nicely said. Like I said I too am a diehard Meguiar's fan/user. All the way down to cleaning the rims is all Meguiar's . But I would love to use new stuff and what not. I agree, thin layers on one section at a time will "probably" reduce the dusting. I used to do the whole truck like that before with the NXT wax and I had dust as well. Did parts at a time and dusting went away (that and thin layers). Never done the windows before, might have to try that out too. Now the wax that you picked up, where did you get that at and what stores would you know that would sell that wax? I know Zymol is sold mostly everywhere (including Walmart ). But yeah, like I said, I'm up for new products just to see the results on the truck (won't hurt it if you do it right). If I like I keep using, if not, back to Meguiar's
