Default How do you detail your ride?

I want to know the steps you guys take when you detail, everything from washing, to polishing, to waxing. Share your techniques and what you use. Pictures are encouraged!

megs tech wax 2.0 is what i use,

1st i wash the truck thoroughly.
then i tape off the plastic pieces with masking tape
get a nice clean soft rag and go at it with the wax
let it haze for like 10-15 mins, then wipe, always using a clean cloth.
wash and chamois a 2nd time to make sure i got excess wax off
clean rims
shine tires
wipe down interior

boom. do all of this except wax of course, once a week.

my 2011 will look like a 3000 truck in the year 3000 lol

I was it with warm soapy water.
I generally wax it every 2 months using mequires
This last time I used auto glum wax and it still looks like I just washed it.

Nice i use a similar method. Only difference really is a pressure washer to get all the mud off.

1.) Run through (quality) car wash.
2.) Dry door jambs with towel you keep in truck.
3.) Spray tire shine stuff.
4.) Use other towel to clean wheels.
5.) Use spray wax and microfiber towel on paint.
6.) Use Mother's Back To Black on all black trim.
7.) MOST IMPORTENT STEP! Get buddies together and hit mud-pit.

  1. wipe down interior with Simple Green to clean
  2. vacuum interior
  3. wipe down interior with Meguiar's Natural Shine
  4. Clean interior glass
  5. Rinse exterior
  6. Clean rims and tires really well
  7. Change buckets
  8. wash panel at a time and rinse a panel at a time
  9. keep truck wet the entire wash period
  10. dry twice with a microfiber towel
  11. dry rims really good
  12. clean exterior glass
  13. either wipe down with Quick detail or wax
  14. wipe doen all exterior trim

This is just my quick clean (4 hours). When i actually "detail" it, I do all this PLUS (7-8 hours),
[*]take off each wheel and tire and polish the wheels and rewash[*]Claybar[*]Paint cleaner[*]Paint polish[*]Wax twice

Wipe down everything with simple green in interior.
Wipe down leather seats with leather cleaner.
Vacuum dash cover/ floors.
Wash outside with Meguiars carwash.
Clean wheels with Simple green, then clean them again with Meguiars chrome cleaner.
Polish wheels with Mequiars wheel polish cone kit.
Clean windows with amonia free glass cleaner.
Wax truck.

I usually spend about 5 hrs when I wash my truck.
