Default Turtle Wax black wax any good?

While at my local auto store, I noticed that Turtle Wax offers a
special wax for black cars. We have a black Escape and I figured
it might help hide chips and minor scratches in it.
Has anyone tried this?

Heard some good reviews about it. If you end up using it post some pics. Would like to see the end result

ive used it on mine. I will say its a good wax for black cars. it really made my ranger pop when i was done with it. deep black look i thought. only thing i dont like about it was it didnt seem to last that long compared to my mothers waxes. but it made it look great!

I've been using Meguire's for a long time. I read FX4's sticky and I
think I'll try his "skill level one" metheod first.

I have used Meguiar's Gold Class wax before. It's damn good on black paint and super easy to remove. That's the only Meguiar's product that I've used that came off real easy and still got great results. Turtle wax Black Box I haven't used yet, but I did a thread on here asking about it. From what I'm told you'll be using gloves to apply and remove it.

Here's what I used this time around:

It's great for heavy oxidized paint finishes, and removes swirl marks and minor scratches. This stuff leaves a "mirror like" shine. Here are the results.

Before:

After:

This stuff is usually extremely easy to remove, but I accidently spilled some and slung it all over the truck and me, plus I ended up using alot more because of it and ended up removing excessive amounts of dust due to my accidentental spill.

If you happen to get any turtle wax on the plastic on your truck and dont rub it off it leaves a white-ish residue on it that looks bad and you have to scrub off. I wont use it again.

I like the Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax. It comes off so easy that it's no problem or challenge to remove it. That stuff is good.

only use the black box if you are garaging your black vehicle. its a carnuba wax so it doesn't last as long.
