Yeah, I didn't want to say anything, but I actually can't stand those people who have those lights when I'm driving at night. It's damn hard to see anything when they are coming at you with those things blinding you! Sorry, just my opinion.

I might look small and yes, I'm a chick, but I shoot, throw, hit, and hunt. I highly suggest you don't mess with my truck!

Oh no, don't apologize for facts. Trust me, I hate them too, especially considering that almost every Honda, or Mitsubishi with a fart can has them. If it gets to the point where your visibility is challenged. Install new headlights and maybe even fog lights if it gets that bad. HID kits are a pain and they were never designed for vehicles like a Ranger...do some research and there's actually science proving how bad of an idea aftermarket HID kits are for cars that were not designed with them, they scatter the light rays and actually hurt other drivers' eyes. If you want unique headlights and taillights, in your case since your truck is black, I would check into some Halo styled replacement headlights and possibly taillights. You can pick up a pair for maybe 140 dollars for either end of your vehicle and they're completely bolt on, no wire cutting, no modifications to something that wasn't designed for it. Also, the ''turn signal modification'' people have been referring to is nice and all, but again, check with your local laws reguarding those kinds of lights. Because they would be considered strobing and I know in Indiana you can have blue, red, and green, or even orange neons but only if they don't strobe to avoid confusing other motorists on whether you're an emergency vehicle or not.

But the person who suggested a car wrapping actually has a decent idea, but that does get expensive...I had my hood wrapped in ''carbon fiber'' since it was aluminum and would of been dumb to buy an actual one for my old F150 and that alone was about 200 dollars after someone got done putting it on at a shop for me and purchasing it. But I did have it color matched to the blue on my truck so that was a little more costly also.

Oh and always make sure to do searches on Craigslist or anything. You never know what kind of things you might find on there. But that's a user beware site since there are a lot of crooked people that tend to sell things that are either broken, stolen, or anything related to that.

So you're saying every vehicle with an amber turn signal is illegal in Indiana??

The price is significantly higher than I thought it would be for black colored projector styled headlights. But it's still a decent price in my opinion. And that's just looking at one websites prices. There's still Jeggs, SummitRacing, and more that sell things like that and the prices may be higher or lower. I'm just saying for myself if I was looking for a personalized look after wheels and tires that would be the first bet. Especially if your original headlamps are faded, fogged up and just old

And as far as the turn signal goes. The pattern I was seeing on youtube videos was distinctly different than a normal turn signal. The pattern where the parking light flashed and the turn signal flashed in a strobing or alternating pattern does slightly resemble some roadside emegency maintenance vehicles I've seen. I'm just going by what a friend told me a while back when I asked, he's a volunteer firefighter and his brothers a police officer so it may be different in surrounding areas. I myself am just avoiding doing anything like that and though not in the case of a ''headlight modification'' I just want to avoid any modifications to my lights and spend possibly hundreds of dollars, only to get fined and told to take them off.

Yea... click that link again and scroll down to projectors... they are $245 per set... not to mention the OP has a '99 so she would have to do a front end swap to even make those work.
