Default What is the best way?

hello I just bought my first truck and its a 2001 Ford Ranger, and it has been keyed down both driver and passenger sides and how do you take it off besides re painting it. and does pop a dent stuff work?

Pop a dent wont take a key mark out.

Ive never heard of another way to take out scratches besides painting.

Unfortunately if the scratches are deep there isn't a whole lot you can do, but definitely look at this thread:

if the scratches arent too deep its a possibility that they can be sanded and buffed out, if they are deep (can feel them with your thumbnail) they will need to be painted. also if you have small dents and door dings look for a paintless dent repair service in your area and get some estimates. most can fix small dents for fairly cheap.

only step side, bedside are removable.. fleet side are pinch welded... the way I repair key marks are: take bondo and use a razor blade as a squeegee, being nice and neat using small amounts at a time, after filler has dried sand with 600 or800g sand paper, then 2k priming.. it's a complete repaint repair, no other way to do so.. unless its one small mark in the middle of a panel...
