Default Removing stickers

I have a 4x4 sticker on my truck bed and it looks like if you peel it off it will take paint with it. How do I remove it without damaging my paint?

try using a heat gun. If you don't have access to a heat gun, use a hair drier. (same thing only the drier doesn't get as hot)

Heat gun/hair dryer, and maybe some patience depending on how long it's been on there. Apply heat, get under the edge w/ your fingernail, and slowly start peeling w/ your fingers. Finish the job w/ some pre-body work prep treatment (grease & wax remover/Prep-sol type product) to remove the adhesive and remnants. Keep in mind that if the decal has been there for a long time, the paint underneath may not be as faded as the rest of the vehicle and there could be a "tattoo" or "tan line" where it is/was.

That too, but Patience is virtue doing it that way. If there is irregular fading from the lettering, a good compound works well

Yep, if the contrast from the fading is not too pronounced, you can blend it in (out?) w/ compound. It also depends on the type of decal. I've had older Toyota trucks that the only way you could remove the factory stripes was w/ a razor blade. The Ford decals are very easy comparatively.

It looks like a sticker though. If you guys look, it's the 4x4 on the truck bed. Will a hair dryer actually loosen that up? It's been on there for over a year or maybe even 2.

Pick the edge w/ your finger nail and see. If you can get under them & get them started, you can peel them off. I can't see why they wouldn't come off unless for some odd reason they are under the clear coat like some motorcycle graphics. I replace my FX4 decals every few years as they fade out. It takes minutes to have them both off w/ a heat gun.

Alright, I'll try the hair dryer out sometime. Hopefully it doesn't harm my truck!

It won't. Ford painted your truck before they applied the decal & there is paint under there. Once you get a corner up you're good to go. Just keep "choking up" on the decal so you're pulling close to where it's still attached. Don't just try to hang onto one end and peel the whole thing off or it'll keep tearing. Apply just enough pressure to keep it coming off w/o tearing.
