Default Sticky stuff left from removing rain guard!

Ok, so I hated the rain guard on the driver's side door (for some reason the previous owner never put one on the passenger door so it just looked stupid!)

Anyway, I removed it before actually knowing it was stuck on by sticky crap. How do I remove the sticky crap now? Will Goo Gone ruin my paint? Is there another solution?

Yes, I know I'm too impatient sometimes to wait to find out the PROPER way to do something BEFORE just ripping it off! And by the way, who the hell would put anything GLUEY on a vehicle that won't easily come off? Just curious.

P.S. I now have ONE driver's side rain guard for sale if anyone wants it! LMAO!! J/K

Ok, Thanks again guys. (I'm a hopeless cause that you will probably be answering questions for more than you'll care to, but I thank you very much!)

So, with that in mind...another question: The idiot also put something on the dash above the stereo that I am assuming at one time was velcro that's now a square piece of sticky crap. Goo Gone again without hurting the dash?

if you cant get your hands on some googone if you have a medical supply store in your area you can go in and ask them for some of the adhesive remover pads. they look like alcohol prep pads.they work just fine.

Already have the Goo Gone because I was going to see if it would remove my co-worker's head from my boss's ass!

But seriously, I do already have some. Thanks though.

Looks like I'll be trying that car paint store and the industrial remover stuff because goo gone didn't work and I've tried it 3 times. That glue is really on there!
