Really?! And what is a waffle weaved towel?
it is inevitable to not pick up some dirt with a shami, as also with hand washing, as you know black swirls easy,,, cause its the most reflective color, you see more of them on dark colors..
as for leaf blowers, its one less step of wiping/grinding/scratching the finish with dirt.... hence the reason why I use leaf blower on high end cars and its a must for motorcycles
as far as shami's just keep it clean, dont lay it down or drop it.. and every few washes, throw it in with your laundry and wash the shami (but dnt dry it)

The deal with any chamois or waffle pattern towel is that they allow you to dry your car completely. Using many steps of dragging it across a section and wringing.
They don't absorb more volume than a regular towel, they just absorb more thoroughly than a wrung out regular towel.

Now that I think about it, the Absorber, or any of the imitations, don't work nearly as well when it's cold out. Again, go over your truck w/ a soft cotton towel after you use the Absorber. I usually am not nearly as particular in the winter when it comes to detailing anyways. The main priority for me is to get any salt and grime off the truck and make it look presentable and I call it good unless it's a nice warm day.

Who use's a rag/ towel still... Get a mr clean gun kit. I havnt used a towel on my rig in a ling time. It has this soap that goes on after waging down the truck that leaves no water spots or and water at all it's weird. Just comes off the paint. Once it runs off I just go straight to waxing. Only use a towel to whipe down inside the door jams and engine bay. Plus the mr. Clean gun kit has a filter on it so you dont get any hard water spots that a regular garden hose gives you. Just invest in that. Been using it for 2 years and no down sides. Worth every penny

I've seen that in Walmart and Big Lots awhile back ago but now I can't see to find it anymore hmmm... I would like to get that. If I can't find it tonight at walmart, then I'm going to get the absorber.

I use a microfiber drying towel, works alright. Came in one of those ArmorAll gift bundles. Came with that, wash mitt, wash sponge, some applicator pads, etc. Got a great deal on it. This is just the towel for 10 bucks, i paid 10 or 15 for the whole kit if i remember right/

I've been doing this for years! It's the only way to get the water out of crevices.

Leaf blower for the win here too. BTW I use a sham-wow to wash my truck instead of a sponge, that works great.

My folks gave me a couple sheets of the shamwow and found it works great just the same. Got a blower converted from an old vacuum cleaner, maybe should try it out for the heck of it.
