Default How to remove scratches and how to apply undercoat

Ok guys my search feature isnt working. My truck has a very dull door from the previous owner using a scotch brite pad to wash off egg. Scratches dont feel deep but def dull. I just ran to autozone and bought Turtle wax rubbing compund, mothers finishing polish, and some undercoat. Any tips on doing all this?

You should have just got the meguirs ultimate compound using an orbital buffer then a good wax. Thats pretty much all you need. Any rubbing compound where you have to dampen the cloth hasn't done anything but scratch it more. That was my experience with the turtle wax

use the orbital buffer, it does well. I recommend meguiars NXT as your polish after the compound

no need for the undercoat. the ultimate compound is clearcoat safe and harmless

Ha!! I can see it now..

Clinton has a buffer strapped to each foot, one in each hand.

A polishing madman with his super man cape on. Just a blur going over, arround the truck.

Anytime man, remember elbow grease with the buffer, the compound is all safe, add more as you go, the more pressure the better the results just make sure you use a REAL applicator bonnett. They have them at sears for around 7.00 for 2 of them
