wax on plastic part of bumper
How would I get the wax of the bumper? just wondering.

Back to black usually does a good job cleaning that up for me

gas will fade the plastic pretty fast. Never tired the peanut butter. Trim restorer will do that job.

Experience on this end...
*Gas, doesn't damage the plastic, doesn't remove the wax. *Mothers Back to Black, hides the wax for awhile. If you like temporary fixes, this has your name on it. *Wax remover (see your autobody material supplier for this), the stuff you use as step #1 when you are prepping a car for a paint job, temporary and marginal solution. *Lacquer thinner (always try on an inconspicuous spot first), temporary and marginal solution. ^^^ Following up on the last two items with Back to Black provides a longer lasting but not a permanent solution, but is the best I've found so far. Peanut butter, good one, sure would like to know if it is a lasting solution or if the oil in it results in a temporary fix.

I just keep my plastics oiled up with back to black so I don't see it as temporary lol
But keep that crap off your paint. It'll make little swirls

Ive spent a lot of time on this problem over the years. It depends on whether the surface is textured or smooth. Either way you have to REMOVE the wax residue. Just wiping on goop (including Peanut butter) doesn’t accomplish that!
If smooth: use 3m green “scrubby” pad with your favorite “Back to Black” type stuff to remove the wax residue, wipe clean, then hit with more “Back to Black” type treatment and buff or paint it with plastic trim paint. If pebbled/textured: use a stiff (and i mean really stiff) bristled brush to work it with plastic restorer, wipe clean, and then hit with a finish coat of restorer or paint. Restorer will last a few weeks before needing reapplication unless you REALLY remove all oxidation from the plastic. Either way, its gonna take elbow grease Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
