Bench seats in a extended cab?
Hey guys I've been thinking for a while, and really want to take the bench seats from a single cad ranger and put them in my 2001 extended cab xlt ranger. Is there any way this would work? And info would be greatly appreciated.

I take it you have the bucket seats & console, but most extended cabs came with the same split bench seats as regular cabs. the main difference is the seat tracks, regular cab rangers have their own unique tracks. ext. cab rangers also share tracks with explorers.
so really all you need to do is find a year / style bench seat you like best from an ext cab ranger.

Yeah the seat tracks are different. The front two legs of each side are the same. The rear outer legs are too far forward on the extended cab seats when compared to a standard cab.
Standard cab holes for the inner legs are higher up, there is a big hump in the floor pan on a standard cab.
Its definitely doable. I think you can remove each leg by grinding the rivits off holding them to the track and maybe able to sway that way.
