Default Faded black plastic lower bumper

I have an 03 xlt, black plastic lower bumper and chrome upper... The black is very faded from the sun and being over 10 years old.. Does anyone know how to clean the fade off and darken it up?

you can either paint it with krylon fusion or take a heat gun to it..that darkens it back up

If you want an easier solution, you can use Forever Black or Back to Black however it won't last longer compared to painting it with krylon fusion.

SEMS trim paint is the best I have found. Painted Jeep fender flares with it and every time I washed it I used a pressure washer with no problems.

The back to black and similar products are basically just oils that make it look darker and after a few rains it comes off. if you want a permanent fix krylon or the SEM stuff i just used krylon flat black and a semi gloss UV protectant on my rear bumper pad and the handles it works great.

I haven't had an issue like that with Show Room New. I have pressure washed the places where I applied it and it still lokms good. However you are right, painting is the best way.

Not a good idea to use tire shine on any part of the trucks body

I used the same product on the side step plastic step pads when I restored the side steps. Holding up good so far.
