How to make your dash shine for $1.00
My friend made a video on the best way to make your dash shine, he says its what dealers do, and it works without any damage too, i'll try it sometime myself, but for now mine is still shining.

I don't like the high gloss look on vinyl or tires either. Satin looks clean with out the fake looking shine.

Re: How to make your dash shine for $1.00
I'm sorry, but that had to be the worst video I have ever seen. There is so much wrong with the application process and just about everything here. If he likes it great, just watch that vinyl start cracking in a few months... but hey it'll be shiny as sh**.
Rafal
PS. Please don't use this on your ranger, lol. Just imagine the glare on your windshield when driving...

All this does is attract dirt/dust. I'm not all about soul glowing my dash. wet rag to get the dirt/dust off and it looks new not greased.

Re: How to make your dash shine for $1.00
The best product I've found that you can buy as a consumer at a retail store is made by Meguiars. I forget what it's called, but it leaves a satin shine. I bought it at Wal Mart for $6 or $7 I think. I used it on probably 15 vehicles, so I goes a long way. A lot of people don't realize, however, that you're supposed to CLEAN the dash and other plastic and remove the dirt BEFORE you shine it....you can't just smear some dressing over the dirt and hope for the best. Also, a microfiber cloth works great for applying the dressing.
I use Wesley's Bleech White diluted with about 50% water for cleaning EVERYTHING including the carpet. You can get a gallon of it at Wal-Mart, NAPA etc. for around $10 and it works awesome on tires, door jambs, engine bays, etc. use it full strength on the door jambs, engine and tires.
You can spray it full strength around the door jambs then pressure wash it. The use a microfiber cloth to dry the water and take off any left over dirt. After it's aired out and completly dry, use an aerosol tire shine (Meguiar's hot shine, or comparable...not any of that foaming crap) to dress the door rubber and all the painted surface of the door jambs and the inside of the door...then use a dry microfiber cloth and wipe it and your door jambs will look new.
Aerosol window cleaner is awesome too...with microfiber cloths. Use a little bit of the aerosol cleaner and wipe with the microfiber cloth and you'll have streak-free windows in SECONDS...you generally don't even have to look back over your work to make sure there aren't any streaks.
I detail professionally and use microfiber for EVERYTHING. I dry the vehicle off with a microfiber cloth after washing, clean off the dash and carpet with it etc... As a matter of fact, I think I'll do a write up on a complete detail. Off to do that right now.

......and if you have them crappy plastic door panels that keep dirt on them forever, use Wesleys tire bleach on them, and they come out like brand new.
