Default Straight out of the junkyard

Found these today to replace my vinyl base seats, but they had to be broken down to the last bolt and cleaned. It got dark as I was putting them back together so I'll better get pics tomorrow of the finished product.

PS- 93-97 seats DO NOT go in 98+ rangers. Nothing about them fits. Not the seat bolts, seat belts, seat rails, seat frames, seat pads, seat covers, NOTHING is interchangeable so you have to get creative to make them work.

After one pass with the cleaner it already looked better.

Your old seats look exactly like my 99 seats. Same worn out spot too.

That's where the damn vinyl cracks every time. If Ford knew they needed to tailor this part slightly and didn't they should be ashamed. LOL.

It's raining today so the seats are still wet and patchy until they dry and lighten up. I'm just glad to have my $50 seats in.

Being 6'3" that driver seat position makes my knees hurt and feel slightly claustrophobic. lol

Good work though, they cleaned up well and look great. I bet you're loving that new arm rest.

Yeah it is WAY too close. I tried to drive it just now and it isn't working out. The armrest sticks backwards 4 inches and pushes itself into my subwoofer box making me scoot the seat up. The one thing I wanted in all this is making me choose between my two fav things. LOL. Gonna have to find a new source of sound.

I have those seats in my 96 Ranger. Can't fit my sub behind the seats either or my speakers x.x.

Funny thing I never noticed before how these seats are from a '94 and have the tape cassette holder in the armrest console.

I swapped the seats on my 87 Ranger with seats from a 2007 Ranger. It took a little ingenuity, but well worth it.

Check out my work at:

Biggest problem for going up is having to replace the seat belts and gutting the interior to do so.

On the newer seats the buckle is built into the seat frame.
