Default Beading and reflections Thread.

I know not all ranger owners are clean freaks, but i know the ones that are, LOVE to see the reflections, or the beads of water rolling off the vehicle. If you can state the product(s) used and what you did to achieve the look! FYI I stole this thread idea from a mustang forum that i frequent quite often. I'll start off!

I first started with a good claying due to living on gravel, I figured it would help with preventing swirls in the paint, and would aid in the application of the products, I then moved straight to Meguires polish, I didn't feel the need to use my Meguires compound, as the truck isn't dull, or have any fading paint. I applied the polish with the good ol' applicator pad, and removed it with a microfiber cloth. I then went to Meguires Carnuba liquid wax. (I have yet to use the paste style.) I applied the wax with the applicator pad, removed it with a terry cloth and did a final wipe down with a microfiber cloth to remove streaks.

I know spring cleaning is just around the corner, and anyone is free to interject!

I can play! Did the whole detailing process...I used different products on each vehicle. Meguiars products tho. The wax I used was Meg's Caranuba Wax on the Rangers. I used Collinite 845? one the Mustang.

I'm doing the truck with collinite 845 soon! Then After a week another coat of 845. It's gonna shine deep!

I've got the beading game on point. I used Black Magic liquid wax, really nothing special (only lasts a wash or two) but wow does it bead the hell out of water.

I'll be taking care of those swirls and scratches soon enough with my D/A and Adams Polishes.

Oh, and just a hint, to see how shiny your truck really is, put some lights up to the paint and see what you see. That's where you really see your finish. (I'm curious to see yours, David, not doubting your skills haha I just wanna see).

Today is detailing day for me. Weather is finally going to co-operate. Got day off, managed to get out of dealing with some senior upper brass from head office at work today. Got a new car in the yard that is now dirty after yesterday rain and crap. Starting off by hand washing both vehicles, drying both with a chamois, touching up a couple of marks on the truck(your Ranger will push your snowblower out of the way quite nicely, no further details to be provided). Then I'll start by cleaning the interior in the truck, treating the leather in the FR-S, followed by 2 coats of Automagic No.5 EZ-Wax(Carnuba & a Carrier, nothing else, excellent product worth it's weight in gold in my opinion) on both, hand buffed. Throw in a good cigar, an ice cold stout, some good tunes and one has the makings of an excellent day. Here's picts from the last detailing.

I first used a Meguiars polish on every surface of the truck followed by the cleaner wax after, I'm planning on a clay bar in the next couple weeks to get the swirls out! Here's my truck
