My 99 with it's original paint. The previous owner decided that putting the tailgate down wasn't practical so there were scratches all down the sides from where they had "tried" to lift things out of the bed from the sides. Finally managed to get them all buffed out, took forever.

That looks nice. It would take days to make mine shine like that. Roof is shot on my truck.

Thanks, you'd be surprised what you can do, my roof was dull, & oxidized when I started.

Same for my '98 unfortunately those scratches didn't buff out.

The scratches weren't incredibly deep on mine so I got lucky I guess.

Did you do any wet sanding on it or was it just a hand buff? That looks like a nice color.

Just a hand buff, nothing special.

Hand buff is all I do. Would love to buy a machine one day and learn how to use it and save time lol

Re: Who's old paint still looks good?
My '01 still hanging in there with the original paint... Garage does wonders. Road salt's working on my running boards though, so that'll be my springtime project to refurbish them and paint 'em with bed-liner black.

Almost 20-year-old paint still hanging in there I think. Polished it up by hand today.
