Default Problem with buttons on stock head unit.

I just recently bought a used 2008 FX4 Level II and when taking it out for it's first trip out of town I hooked up an audio cable to the auxiliary plug in - pressed the "aux" button - and nothing happened. I tried pressing it harder and still nothing happens. Upon further inspection I found the same problem with the "1" button on the radio. I have very little knowledge about vehicle electronics, and would appreciate any advice or possible solutions to the problem.

This isn't a lot of information to go on. Here's my best guess. Probably, through heavy use, the AUX port may be loose from the circuit board. The "1" button will also be used the most on any radio. It may be worn out too.

If you aren't handy with a soldering iron, it may pay you to replace the radio with an aftermarket one.

Replace it with a quality aftermarket headunit such as a Pioneer.
