Default Will these speakers fit???

I have a 2000 XLT Supercab, I heard that the front door 6x8's can be replaced with 6.5's (round). can anyone confirm this? If so is there a conversion kit available? I'm looking to go with component speakers in the door. Any feedback is appreciated!

Thanks

i wouldnt think so cuz the hole for the speakers is an oval, maybe if u cut out a circle for them. why arent u just going with 6x8's or 5x7's?

Sorry rangerluc, didn't quite answer your question did I. the reason I am going with a round speaker over an oval is because I'm going with a component system (hi's, mid's, and lows all seperate from one another. The round speaker will give a better mid range response over the oval. I am; However, going to put 6x8's in the back for fill sound.

I have been told The rounds will fit...with possibly some very minor modification. I pondered some but I got a great deal on some 6x8 Kicker competition speakers.

Ive put a few sets of components in the rangers/f150s. Get you some self tapping screws and go for it. Its definitely worth it.

Or do these! This is what i want > Component 5x8's

yes you can put round speakers in place of the 6X8 speakers . you will need to make a baffle . I have a template for the baffle . give me a day or two and I will post it here .

SOME of the rounded speakers come with brackets that you can use to fit them in without a baffle but you would have to find that out lol
