Default grounding out my amp?

i got a reg cab where shouild i ground my amp out to? ive had it ground out to the seat bolt without cleaning the bolt off but where should i ground it out to?

That should be fine.. but maybe clean the bolt so it has a good solid contact to the metal

Seat bolt is fine...but its not a problem if u scratch some paint off under the carpet and use some self tapping screws either.

actually a seat bolt can cause problems... look at it this way.. The threaded receptical for the bolt is welded to the floor of the truck. Grounding anything through a pre-exisiting bolt can add unwanted resistance. Just find a flat spot under your carpet... sand it down to bare metal... make sure there is nothing on the underside of the location you chose.. and use a star washer and a self tapping screw.. An actual bolt an nut would be best if you can swing it. And to prevent corosion.. cover the ground location after it is secure with vasoline.
