Default Passenger side Speaker Help

My girlfriend realized today that both the front and rear passenger side speakers in my 2000 xlt werent working, after removing my head unit and checking connections i put it back together to hear the drivers side sounding worse than the start and the passenger side speakers still not working. I bought 2 6x8 sony speakers to try tomorrow but if that doesnt work im at a loss. Any reason both passenger side speakers would blow at the same time? Anything i can do to fix it?

If they are stock speakers, need replaced anyway, but not with Sony speakers.

Unlikely both speakers would blow at once. Gotta be wiring.

Mine wasn't working on the driver side all the wires going to the door itself was all broke. Might wanna check that if you haven't.

After checking all the connections and redoing a botched wiring job only the front speaker is out and everything else sounds good, so before I replace the speakers why shouldn't I put these Sony's in?

Because the name Sony means something in home electronics...great stuff.
In car audio, Sony means crap

Can't go wrong with Hertz. There's a lot of decent choices. What's your budget? Are you into quality or loudness?

Well I'm 16 without a job if that tells you anything, and more quality than loud.

Then for cheap sound quality I would go with infinity reference series

Plenty of power (using a voltage meter) until you reach this connection under the kick panel then zilch, would replacement work?

Btw the problem was no power reaching the speakers, not a blown speaker. And power windows, locks etc still work

Don't waste your time replacing it. Just bypass the 2 speaker wires
