Exclamation help!

i just got my new infinity speakers and both my wires have stripes on them so i dont know which on to put in the - and which one to put in the +

ok the wires are in and they work when there not screwed into my door, but once i screw the right one in both of them dont work, wtf?

no naked wire is touching the door
edit- they work when the radio is on and there screwed on and when i turn off the car and back on, they dont work. ill leave it running and take all 4 screws out, and then they all of a sudden work.

That is really strange. I have never heard or seen anything like that.

Did u double check all your connections

ya i re-did everything numerous times. i was outside workin on it for about 2 hrs and i just gave up because its way to cold and its late lol

i just got back from best buy and i had the guy at the installation booth look at my speakers and i took them off and he tested the right speaker and there was no ground, so he replaced them with 2 new ones and now they work

If you take a normal flashlight battery, no 9 volt or itll fry tweeters, and hook the wires to it its easy to tell. if the speaker moves out, its the right set up, if it moves in, youve got it backwards. lil trick for tellin plus and minus.
