how much money you want to throw down all depends on the sound. you can get some sick alpine components for 250, you should check out crutchfield.com

5x7's or 6x8's actually. check out pioneers if you're not looking to break the bank. great speaker at a decent price.

If you are going to get these speakers make sure you get an amp! Infinity's are traditionaly not very sensitive and tend to be pretty power hungry. the RMS rating for this speaker is 60 Watts, get an amp with as close to the same RMS output without going over. The typical head unit (aftermarket) puts out only about 12-17 watts RMS. The difference will be night and day! Anyway, hope this helps.

most 5 1/4 component sets come with a 5x7 adapter plate so you won't need to make anything or cut your truck to fit the tweeter.. when i did the big stereo in my splash i did focal 165kp's in the doors orion nt 6.5's in the kick panels, 4 orion hcca 15's in a wall in the extended cab with a ring of orion cobalt 6.5's around the wall, 4 orion hcca 250g4's an orion xtr800.4 for the mids and highs with two svr batteries a 15 farrad alumapro cap and a 220 amp ohio generator alternator all running off of a Pioneer deh-p800r head unit... as you can tell by some of the gear this was quite some time ago lol.. I pulled it all out and returned the truck to stock except for the head unit now. Who knows i might do a lil summfin summif here again soon lol
