5x7's or 6x8's actually. check out pioneers if you're not looking to break the bank. great speaker at a decent price.

The typical head unit (aftermarket) puts out only about 12-17 watts RMS. The difference will be night and day! Anyway, hope this helps.

most 5 1/4 component sets come with a 5x7 adapter plate so you won't need to make anything or cut your truck to fit the tweeter.. when i did the big stereo in my splash i did focal 165kp's in the doors orion nt 6.5's in the kick panels, 4 orion hcca 15's in a wall in the extended cab with a ring of orion cobalt 6.5's around the wall, 4 orion hcca 250g4's an orion xtr800.4 for the mids and highs with two svr batteries a 15 farrad alumapro cap and a 220 amp ohio generator alternator all running off of a Pioneer deh-p800r head unit... as you can tell by some of the gear this was quite some time ago lol.. I pulled it all out and returned the truck to stock except for the head unit now. Who knows i might do a lil summfin summif here again soon lol
