Default amp/sub issues

I have my amp control connected to the yellow with black stripe also the red wire coming off my deck is connected to it as well. My amp does turn on but I get a pulsating sound come out of my subs before my stereo turns on and I cannot figure why. Everything else works just fine... Also I cannot guess where to connect the blue with white stripe wire coming off my deck (its a kenwood kdc-mp438u, got two rockford 12" R/2s the amp name isnt coming to me but its a 3000watt amp, got a 6 guage wire coming off the battery) any help would be great and if more info is needed just ask thanks!

OMG ! What amp is it ?

The yellow wire from the headunit is constant power to the headunit only and goes to the battery. The red wire from the headunit goes to the radio fuse in the fusebox with a fusetap. Your amp remote wire goes to the blue/white wire from the headunit and they also go to an accessory fuse.

Believe me, if the amp was actually 3000 watts, it would melt the 6 gauge wire ! You need to know RMS power ratings of amps, speakers, subs, etc.

I had that problem and it was the amp itself. I put a new amp in and it is fine

2 things.

1. From what I can tell with that amp (and im guessing its in the 600-800 rms range) is you arent feeding it with enough power. 6ga power wire is not enough. At least 4ga is where you want to be.

2. Also a bad ground will cause a pulsation in the subs.

That is not a good ground location. You need to be grounded to the frame of the truck, wire brushed or scraped to clean shiny metal.
