So you have too dark tint on the rear so you need a back up camera?

I have 5% on my rear and only
Have my reverse lights. Where is there a place for one anyway?

Actually I live on Main St. and people pushing baby strollers and walking dogs and bicyclists cross the sidewalk at the end of my drive constantly and my neck don't twist like it used to so rather than possible risk of hurting someone or a dog I thought it might improve my rear vision...I am mounting mine on the license plate mounting screw and frame...

Wow. I'm not trying to make anyone look stupid and I feel fine, but thanks.

The info in the link was written by someone who works for Jensen.

Thanks for the spelling lesson.

I have a camera very similar to Bob C's... mine is a no name brand from "insert name of funny sounding foreign country here". No lines in the display.

Mine has 6 or 9 IR emitters for night vision too. That works ok, but it still looks a lot better when I flip on my extra backup lights.

No real need to spend a ton of money on a top of the line camera... unless you have tons of expendable income burning a hole in your pocket.
Mine was probably less than $20 and it's been working fine for over a year. If it happens to poop out on me next year, I'll spend another $20 for one just like it & I'll still have an extra $100 in my pocket

Thanks buggman hope to get it installed soon and I will be able to see if I shot myself in the foot or I stuck my foot in my mouth by getting a Jensen Camera...Bob C.

I don't NEED it. I wanted one since my headunit can use it. I'm putting mine where you access the spare tire. Right under the tailgate, right above the bumper.

PS Thanks for all the help guys. Your advice has helped me in the most ways possible.

I was looking at possibly mounting mine like you in the same place but thought the tailgate might hit it when I opened it...There isn't much choice for mounting the camera on a Ranger and I am not thrilled by those license plate frame cameras...Anybody have input or pictures of where your camera is mounted??
