You know they have 6disc cd players in Rangers right? Just measure the one outta an F150 and if its the same size/double din, it'll fit right in.

Should be "Plug & Play" But I'll tell you, your asking for trouble. Most any brand deck that can play multiple CD's have a bad habit of jamming and won't eject any and if your like most people and don't make copies, your screwed ...
I had one in the truck that I bought and before I left the dealer I had them change it out for a Single CD unit....The way I play multiple albums of different music is I Rip and Burn a MP3 CD and put the albums in folders. You burn the disks as data disks so that the name and titles show up on the radio. This way I won't lose the original disk and if I damage it, I just make another one. My new truck has a mini jack so now I just plug my phone in with all my tunes put the radio on "AUX" and I'm good to go!!

Those Ford OEM 6 disc players suck even worse than most Ford stock heads. Why do you want a 6 cd player ? Put in a good Pioneer with USB input and get a good mp3 player or iPod. I have 3000 songs at my fingertips.

Your songs must be pretty low quality. My iPod touch is 64 GB and it is full. My songs are 320 kbps

Either your full of bs or your shop needs to be sued, a 6disc used is only 60bucks in working order.

The mounting in the F250 is quite different than your Ranger and the wire harnesses won't match so it wouldn't be plug and play. I'd agree with going aftermarket and steer clear of used 6 disc in dash changers. It really is just a matter of time before it will need repaired or replaced.

Its the arm inside the unit that rises/lowers to choose the disc, they tend to break. The arm is also the reader/laser unit as well. My guess is bumps on the road tends to break the arm off its track(s). It would be wiser to buy a single disc unit if yours/others 6disc have broken (OEM here, not talking about after market).

No. It's wiser to get an aftermarket unit that will last years and years without quitting and will play 1000's of songs with USB input. CD's and CD changers are obsolete.

How many songs can you hold on there? You must have a good bit. My iTunes is about 8.5gb with mainly 320kbps, some higher and some lower. I have around 1000 songs.

Who knows ? The new version of iTunes doesn't show the size at the bottom like previous versions did. 99% of my songs are 320kbps.

Yep I hate the new iTunes. I tried to deal with it for about two days, then said screw it and downgraded to 10.7. It was too hard to manage and didn't show the info in my preferred view.
