Default Help? Got a few questions about a system

Alright so I have an 03 Ranger Edge, Regular cab.. I was wondering what is the easiest and cost efficient way to get my truck bumpin without having to saw through anything or drop loads of cash.. Kind of strapped but I really want something that hits.. Tired of my stock speakers that sound weak and just shake my door frame..
Thanks in advance.

Btw I heard about Shallow Kickers.. Whats the word on that and what should I get?

What is your budget? Also do you have an after-market deck?

Get a Infinity Basslink, I have one and love it. It is a 10" powered sub and can be hooked up to a stock deck.

Yes actually Ive got a POS JVC I bought from walmart with a the slot above it for storage, But my budget is tight so anything low on price but not too sacrificial in quality(like blowing up or just sputtering out, not too worried on how hard it hits compared to comp. based systems) and Its a regular cab, meaning I dont have but a few inches behind my seats maybe more to have anything and I doubt anything will go under my seats so thats out of the question..

Now the Infinity Basslink, Which version do you have and whats the estimated difficulty for installation, Would a non-experienced manual reader(myself) be able to install it?

It is really easy...but you have a Reg Cab, so I doubt it will fit in your cab.
You would need to purchase a box designed for a reg cab. Or build one.

There is a specific one for the Ranger...but I cannot remember where to find it...These may work, but I would get some measurements to check against:

Personally i would build your own box and if its to small for your sub (not meaning the sub wont fit) you can always put pollyfill into to box doing that trick the sub thinking its in a bigger box. Thats what i did to my Rockford Fosgate p3d412 and it sounds fine, but building a box if your inexperienced (like i was) it can be frustrating but go slow and check your measurements. I also have Reg Cab and when i bought my sub i wasn't thinking about the space it needed to sound good i just wanted a sub that would make your ears bleed, so dont do that. But all in all building you own box would be the best but its tricky and frustrating. Also idk about your homedepot but the Mdf that i bought was around 30$ for a big ass 3/4'' thick sheet, if you buy from there tell them to cut it in half so you can carry it home in your truck i didnt and the sheet hung 3 feet over my tailgate, also predrill your holes for the screws so it wont split the wood and buy really strong wood glue. My total cost: Sub 275$, MDF 30$, Screws 7$, Glue 3$, Speaker terminal 6$.

when going to buy a speaker DONT LOOK AT WATTS so much as sensitivity.. sensitivity is what gives your speaker the good clear sound and make it more responsive so the higher the sensitivity the better the speaker.
