Default amp wire

Im having trouble figuring out where to run my amp wire from my battery back. i have a 95 ranger and i dont see any holes in the firewall that i can pull a grommet back and install my 4 gauge wire. can someone help me to figure out a better place to run it?

Drill a hole in the firewall and then put a grommet in to protect the wire.

To the right of the steering column(if you're looking at it from inside the cab) there's a gromet. I'll try and take a picture of it for you. That's where I ran my wire. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of sub/amp are you running?

Well there should allready be a hole in the firewall. If there's not then I would suggest drilling one.

Don't drill any holes. Just keep searching for a gromet.

i aint dealt with putting a system in any rangers except mine (its out now) but most of my old cars the hole in the firewall has been real hard to find and get to but it wasnt hard in my ranger it was on the passenger side of the firewall

yeah i found the one on the passenger side. i just dont think i have enough wire to go from the battery which is on the drivers side over to the passenger side and then through the firewall..i shortened the wire by about 4-5 feet when i had my system in my old 1971 Datsun 240z.. looks like i might just have to spend the money and buy all new wire again.. :{

You can buy 5 foot strands at sonicelectronix.com if that's all you need. but I drilled through mine, it wasn't a big deal.
