2007 ranger--supercab--under the seat subwoofer
Hello,
I am hoping you guys (and perhaps ladies) could help me find something for my 2007 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab 4X4. Is there a subwoofer box that fits under the seat of the driver side? I know I could have one custom made but was wondering if there is one already made that I could order. Please help me out! Thanks!

There is NO room under the seat for anything. You can run pre-made boxes in the back in front of one of those tiny jumpseats. I'm running a Sub Zero brand 12" hatchback box in mine. Some remove a jumpseat and put a 10" or 12" truck box there in it's place.
Bottom line, NOTHING will fit under the front seats of these things. There just isn't the room.

Yeah no room under the seat. My tiny alpine amp barely even fit under there. Here is my setup and i also have a 2007 Ranger Supercab

Hey Luke, I was planning the same thing. I got a Boss low profile sub/amp combo for Christmas and planned to mount it under the passenger seat until I looked under there....so I had to mount it to the back cab wall between the front seats (it's a regular cab). It fit fine but now the only problem is it rattles the HECK out of my sliding window. So I gotta figure out how to stop that (hopefully without replacing the slider) but I haven't crack that nut yet....any ideas anyone?

Tom and I were able to mount this under the seat:
http://www.amazon.com/Boss-BASS600-Low-Profile-Amplified-Subwoofer/dp/B000OSZA44
But the quality wasn't that good, I believe it went out on Tom on his drive home from my place after install.

Yeah I wasn't impressed with that system, a tiny shallow mount 8" sub under a seat wouldn't do much anyways. It might be good if you listen to classical musical, or basically if you're just looking for a *little* extra something. It was worthless with rap and hard rock, and generally unnoticeable.
BOSS said my unit had a bad circuit (over the phone diagnosis) so it's plausible I just got a crappy unit. The reviews on Amazon are great, and Amazon let me return it without any hassle... so it wasn't all bad.

so where did you go from there; just give up on the sub all together? i can't tell if the boss unit is what i want or not because the window rattles around with the smallest of juice put to the sub....but i think it's PLENTY of thump for my needs. there's gotta be a "best" way to secure the window and associated hardware without rendering the entire slider useless.

Check out truck boxes. They're going to be the smallest you can get for a sub woofer (not going to fit under a seat). You may see about moding your door speakers for 6x9's or the rear suicide doors.

i had to cut the liner just under the window so the sub sat flat against the cab wall so I could mount it so i'm pretty much stuck with what i have...i just gotta figure out how to stop the back window from rattling and i thi9nk i'll be ok
