It was just sitting in one of my customers garage and I asked about it, they said they've had it for a while and never got to use and have been trying to get rid of it for a while, so I asked how much. They said make an offer!

Great post! I just tried to install a Performance Teknique icmb 9723 in my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT. Couple of problems though. The radio stays on after the vehicle is turned off. The wiring harness on the back of new radio has a pink wire for illumination. I tried hooking that up and it started smoking. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks!

I think orange with a black stripe is illumination and you might have your red and yellow wires mixed up ?

If the area you want shiny is made of plastic, use a smooth textured cloth (ex: t-shirt) and wrap over a finger. Wet with acetone and carefully wipe with a single stroke over the area you want shiny. Protect the screen and other areas with some blue/ green tape. It will gloss it some. Repeat once more if it is blotchy or you want more shine. Move smoothly and don't stop.

We do this in golf club making to shine up the plastic ferrule by the club head after sanding them. Since learning this I have used the technique in auto detailing.
