Default 2002 Edge factory radio

Does anyone know who manufactured the AM/FM Stereo CD found in the Chrome Yellow 2002 Edge with V-6? I'm thinking that it is a 60-watt radio; and it works fine-- but I'd like to know what would work better.

There are a variety of different stock radio systems. The standard one I believe was made by Visteon, the tremor system and 6-cd changer I *THINK* are made by pioneer.

If your looking to go aftermarket then basically the sky (or your wallet) is the limit.

Default Radio

Thanks, Tom. That's also what I thought, but wanted to get a second opinion. The reason I'm curious is because I'm looking at a Kenwood 66-watt unit with MP3 capability and a USB port. It's $129 from Crutchfield, so it's not like I need to take out a 2nd mortgage. Nevertheless, I'm wondering how substantial the difference in sound will be. I installed Polk Audio db571's a few years back and they were marginally better than the stock speakers.
