Default where is your amp mounted?

i have been meaning to mount my amp but im not sure where i was going to put it on the back wall and run the wires behind the plastic.

Thats where i had mine in my '94. It was an extended cab as well but didnt have the back seats so i just used some small screws and put it right in the middle. Worked out great! Wish i still had that set up really.

i had it under the seat for a wile but the amp started over heating :/

I got my sub amp under driver seat and my door speaker amp under the passenger seat

my amp isn't really that big i'm just tired of it looking like crap with wires everywhere ill see about putting it under my seat also but last time i had it there it got really hot.

make some spacers/mounting brackets and mount it an inch or so off the carpet if possible.. it will help move air under the amp and keep it cool

i took the handle off my driver side jump seat and used some drywall screws and attached it directly to the seat, then routed the wires behind the seat under the plastic.

I have two sub boxes behind my seats. between them is a piece of upholstered 13 by 24 mdf. face the amp up and run the wires under the board, no one ever sees them. trucks dirty i know. lol

smakes thats where i would mount it but i have the seat flipped down with the box strapped on top. thats about the same size as mine also

yes i did. It is really much better to have two subs and two speakers than 4 speakers. In my opinion the subs work as low end sound as well as rear fill. And also in my personal opinion, rear fill from the original two rear speakers is useless in a single cab truck. trust me, this way is better.

my amp was overheating too under the seat, i just took the bottom plate off put a few spacers in and installed a cheap computer fan ran off the amp...works wonders...now its just mounted to a board on the back wall until the new subs get here
