Ya, i was planning sound deadener, especially in the dash. my truck is pretty loud and the music has to be at least 50% before i can hear it clearly over the engine. Thank you for the alternator and battery idea tho. i thought a cap would help, but i could see how it wouldn't in a high powered system seeing as how they are mostly for the peaks in the music and not running the whole system single handed. lol.

when it comes to blow throughs only thing the same about s10s and rangers is the idea.

measure how big you want it.

get you some accordian boot. make sure you get extra. youll have to over lap

youll need a sawzall, silicone with a gun, a dremel with a grinder wheel.

when you cut the hole, there is a brace in the middle of the back of the cab
its a whore.

cut through it. then take the grinder wheel to smooth it.

put the boot on, splice at the bottom, cut one side with 6" of extra boot cut the snaps/sides/metal clips.

COVER it all the cracks in silicone do not be greedly.
let it dry.


i do a 155 with my cut through

as a warning.
when you do it the park of the box that comes into the cab, aka the face. make sure it covers it use greatstuff for windows behind this. it will seal it.
my back glass is solid.
it will break if you tune low enough, all the mounts on mine are broken. its hanging there by the grace of god. if your goin to cut it, make it worth while.

dont forget the main thing.

Get loud.

i just got done with 2 13" subs in my truck their made by power acustik and their mount depth is 2" i also have a single cab truck ill send a link on youtube of my system and you can check it out and let me know if you need any measurements on the system.

That's nice man. What equipment do you have? I switched the DCs out and am using a pair of DD 9512s right now. I'm probably going to sell those soon and go with 4-12s in a 4th order. I have another sundown 3000d sitting in my closet that I need to put in.

you got some nice equipment i must say.
i always wanted some 95s but i never could get anyone to order them for me.
damn wanna part with that amp

i run 8 alpine type rs in a 6th order
2 200.1s strapped @ 1 ohm.
tuned @ 38 hz.

Very nice...I'd love to see some pics of your setup if you have any. You can order directly through DD if there isn't a dealer in your area. i thought about it, but im cheap.i like used lol. half the price ya know.
im lookin into gettin some Orion HCCA 15.2s or some Sundown Nightshades.
they both have there pros and cons.
if you have either of them, id open for opinions..this time im goin to start competing again and TRY to win. this last setup was to prove that a ranger can do big numbers. but i hated my class it was gay.

I stuffed a 12'' nightshade behind the passenger seat before I did the blowthrough. It was only in there for a week and I pulled it out because it took up too much room so I barely got to listen to it. I thought about stepping up to 15s but the bed isn't very tall so that's why I keep coming back to the idea of 4-12s. Yeah I'd like to see vids if you have them. One of my friends had 2-18'' Nightshades in a trailblazer and they were definitely impressive, just VERY expensive. I bought my 9500s as motors then bought new baskets and recones so they were pretty much new. All together I have about $700 tied up in the pair, which isn't too outrageous for like new 9500s I don't think.

Theres been 4 15s in my truck...It was lovely...Will have 4 more soon hopefully, since my 2 15" DEI comps are about done for, finally.
