Cool premium sound system!!!

ok here is my story. i go to my local car parts store and i pick up 2 subs, a amp, all the wiring, a aftermarket dash kit, and a wiring harness (already got a new HU from a friend). i go to the garage and start tearing apart my dash and find that my wiring harness doesn't fit what to do ? i look on the harness box again and its says 89+ ford ranger (i have a 95). well now after 2 weeks of intense googling and finding thtt i have a premium sound system in my truck i find the premium harness and there is only one made for the ranger it cost me $50 but its required... so now a week later (yesterday) i arrive home after school and notice a UPS BOX on my front porch sure an of its my wiring harness in all its glory my next thing i do is go to my local pepboys and buy a shiny new HU cause i deserve it after this month long ordeal and hopefully this after noon i will be installing my shiny new HU and the wiring harness
now the main reason i posted this thread is to help anyone out there with a premium sound system find the correct wiring harness.. and to show off my new system once i get the pictures uploaded.

i will soon have the links for the website i found posted and pictures of the install.

I ran into the same problem with my 88 ranger. Is there anyone out there that can give a tip on how to bypass the amplifier? Other than running speaker wires through the truck. The problem I'm having is that the ground on the amp is connected, but no sound. disconnect the ground and I have the front speakers, but the stereo won't turn off with the key.

usually a little deeper into the dash, there is a normal 90's model ford harness and you can use the cheap harness out of the store...not always the case but we often found a basic harness if we looked for a little bit.

lol i put subs in mine but i took them out..........it really wasnt all that hard i ran the wireing under the carpet on the drivers side door and ran it up behind the molding in the dash and ran it though the drivers fender......you just have to cut open door wiring cover and head it to the battery.....so yeah just throwing that out there in case some one was having problems with running cable

Every time I have installed a system in a Ford with the premium sound, I have removed all the stock wiring and started from scratch. It'll cost less to buy all new wire, and you don't have to worry about that stock amp failing you. Especially since the amp failing was the reason for the first one I did. You would not believe how much extra wire there is for the premium sound in a Taurus!
