Default Anyone ever use Geek Squad?

Hey I was wondering..since the previous owner of my ranger did the famous chop to all the wires for the head unit, would geek squad put in a new head unit?..My wires are VERY weird. The previous owner had a wire coming from the fuse box to get power, but I couldnt seem to get power from that wire to my head unit..I hooked the ignition wire and that one from the fuse box and the radio came on, but started smoking. What do you guys think? Right now I have a bunch of loose wires hanging from my dash board where the radio would be.

they also do car audio. I was just wondering if they would even touch it since all the loose wires are hanging out.

They'll do it. I work for geek squad as an audio installer. They might charge you more depending on the condition of the wiring.

If anyone could make matters worse than they already are, those guys would be perfect for the job.

My post was at the same time as yours. I may have worded it differently had I seen your post.

If you're good, then you're an exception to the rule. I personally wouldn't have them touch my cars. I've had a few friends get audio work done at BB, and something is always jacked up.

I prefer to do audio stuff myself. If I was going to take it somewhere though, it would be to a dedicated car audio shop.

i work for Best Buy not Geek Squad Car Install but I know our store King of Prussia, PA has a solid team of installers. Cannt say the same for all Best Buys. But I would have no problem trusting any Geek to install my stuff if i didnt know how to do it already.
