No sound! Stereo still powered???!
 Ok, so i just hooked some new clarion 3-way 60rms 6x8's in all for speaker holes in my 01' extended cab edge, stock cd player. I tested each one as i went and before i put each panel back on. When all said and done and i test the last one i and its all good, so i clean everything up and turn the radio on, i have a cd in and turn it up, almost to half way and everything just goes quit!! Stereo still shows on can take cd out put on radio and change volume, but no sound in any speaker. Clock works, i mean what the hell happened, is it possible these speakers needed to much watts and blew something inside the stereo, some expertise i am in need of...

I checked all the fuses, they are all good.
I doubt it could be a fuse seeing how the stereo is showing that it works, clock works, stereo shows its on and all controls are displayed properly. Thats what im afraid happenend, blew the internals of the stereo. Is that possible, and does anyone think it had anything to do with switching the speakers, i didn't cut any wires, i got the adapters so the speaker install was plug and play!

Mine was because the back driver side speaker was grounding out on the truck: [IMG]  [/IMG]See the scratched marks in the yellow paint?! [IMG]  [/IMG]Thanks for the comments it all helped in narrowing down the problem. Here is a couple pics of the speakers! [IMG]  [/IMG][IMG]  [/IMG]

Hmm, i thought i took some picks of the back speakers before i put them in...
I forgot to say that all i had to do was take the speaker back off the grill and turn it around so the connections are on the other side of that tear drop opening!
