I have an automatic reg cab so there isnt much space in my cab for a CB, but i had a friend (Who isnt very reliable) tell me to take out my ash tray and cigaret lighter port (bottom one) and use the wires from it to huck up my CB.

Now my questions are is this a good? will it work? and if so how do i take out the lighter port? (i got the ash tray u just pull.)

hey man, go to the interior tech forum and click the thread thats titled "01 cb radio mount". he had a lot of the same questions. look through that thread and you should find a lot of answers. like i said on that thread, you can go to radioshack and get the cigarette lighter adapter where you just wire in the power and ground into the adapter.

thats great for the lighter adapter but i need to take it out to fit my CB. im not kidding when i say i have no other room

I had a bracket fabricated and have a 2nd alternator installed just to run the CB equipment.....a 250 amp. Not too much room to do this, but it barely fit.

ok so i got it in all i did was take out the ash tray and the aux plug right beside it scerwed into the plastic above it and sid it right in it looks great! thanks for the help guys
