Default Speaker Problem

I'm having sort of a strange (or at least strange to me) problem with my driver's side door speaker. Whenever I'm using the head unit to listen to the radio, all four speakers in the truck work as they should. However, whenever I switch the head unit to either auxiliary from my iPod or to the CD player, the driver's side door speaker stops working altogether. Even when it is working while the radio is playing, there is a very noticeable amount of static from it. Is this being caused by the wiring behind my radio, or is it a bad speaker? Thanks for any help.

I know that this thread is fairly old, but I like to follow up whenever I've figured out the problem. After my whole stereo decided to stop working while I was re-installing the cb radio, I decided to pull the horrible wiring that the previous owner did for the stereo and rewire it myself. Not only did I get the stereo to work again, but the driver's side speaker works as it should. I had a feeling it was the wiring after seeing the loose connections, but I didn't want to rewire it myself. But in the end, I had to.

It was quite pitiful. He used crimp connectors, and barely squeezed them down. It looked like he used a knife to strip the wire ends.
