Default 2002 ford ranger xlt 4x4 audio help, head unit and speakers for now

I have looked around on youtube for a video or something on how to remove the stock head unit on my 2002 ford ranger ext flairside 4x4 but haven't found much. Just wondering if anyone knows a some what step by step on how to remove it and what tools i will require.

The speaker sizes front and back if anyone also knows that would help a lot.
Thanks

if you dont want to buy tools you can get the dealer to pull the radio or get metal coat hangers to stick in the holes and pull out the radio. the speaker sizes are 6x8

They are U-shaped steel keys with notches on the end. You stick them in and squeeze them together to 'unlock' the mounting tabs, or take the bezel off the dash with the radio attached and access the mounting tabs from the rear.

If you order your speakers and head from here - http://www.crutchfield.com/app/car/outfitmycar/car.aspx? you will get the keys, speaker wiring adaptors, head harness wiring adaptors, tech sheets, shipping, lifetime tech support, etc., all free.

Let us know if we can help you with the right choices.
