Default Carpeting a Sub Box

I'm in the process of builing a box for my shallow mount 12". I've had a few subs before, but I never went through the effort of putting carpet on a box. I think I'm going to have this sub for a while, so I want to do it right and have it look good.

Anyone know how to do this?, and also, does a good carpet job improve sound quality? one of my friends told me it did, but I'm a bit skeptical on that.

Thanks!

I doubt it will improve sound quality. But it is really simple.
Cut a piece of carpet large enough to be wrapped around the box. I ussualy start with the front. Spray glue onto the front of the box, and the carpet. Press it on. Continue doing each side. You will have to cut it at the corners.
You should be able to figure it out. All experiance is from covering my box in vinyl not carpet, but I think there very similar.

go to wally world and get some carpet from the automotive section, depending on how big your baox is you should only need one roll, cost about 9 bucks, the get a couple of cans of spray adhesive for the same area, about 6 bucks a can

spray the adhesive on the box allow it the get air to it so itll get tacky, put the carpet laying face down and put the sticky side of the box on top of it cut out a little extra on all sides to wrap around the edges, complete for all sides then cut out the holes for the sub and terminals, and the port if your box has one
