Default Big 3 help?

Where exactly is the best place to do my grounds? I know where it comes stock isn't that great and when I look in my engine I don't see many possible ground points. It's a 2000 XLT. Pics would be greeeattt! I cleaned up the stock grounds today and I can tell a little difference. I also plan on getting a yellow top optima batter along with the big 3.

You can follow the stock wiring with 1/0 high strand count copper cable. It will be fine. Are you needing more amperage because of a high power audio system or ? If so, you need an alternator upgrade, not a different battery. The stock alternator should be fine for up to 1000 watts RMS.

My amp is 1500 watts so it dims the hell out of the lights when at full tilt but I only run it around 25% when I drive. I just need to figure out where I can find a better ground.

Are you saying 1500 peak watts? Or 1500 rms? And do you have an upgraded battery and/or alternator

1500 RMS at 1 ohm and that''s what I have it wired at. I was going to get an upgraded battery along with the big 3 If I can find a good ground. I have the 0 gauge on the way.

I'm not sure what RMS is. I'm not extremely familiar with sound systems as I'm new to it but that is the exact sub I have so you tell me if it makes 1500 watts RMS lol

----------

1500 x 1 RMS @ 1 Ohm

And I wired it for 1 ohm so It should be making 1500 watts.

I was speaking of the amp, not the sub or subs.

My problem with the amp is there is nothing on the web anywhere that says what inline fuse is installed or how many amps rating the fuse or fuses are installed in or on the amp. Some cheap amp manufacturers purposely block this info in hopes we consumers can't use the fuse rating to determine how much power an amp actually makes.

Think ? Is this the power wire fuse or a fuse installed on the amp itself ? If on the amp itself, usually more than 1 fuse when more than 30 or 40 amp fuse rating is required.

I googled it and that's what someone said. I only know as much as the website told me and that when the bass and volume is up it dims the hell out of the headlights when driving.
