ok. so. my wires do not include the "logic mute" like the premium has and the speaker wire colors didnt match up. so i guess its not premium?

Thats correct

If you dont have it then you wont have the color wires that represent L front Sig + and so on circled in black

ok im wiring up my harness adapter to the headunit harness now. what do i do with the wires that dont go to anything?

on the head unit harness. theres a ground that i connect to the chassis. its shaped like a screw goes into it then into the chassis. where do i put this?

Default put it......

secure the ground with similar grounds, i try to ground all my audio in one location and tie that location to the battery with a steel braided line.(overkill)

I finished the install the other day it went well. Thanks for all the help. Turns out i did not have the great "premium sound", which was a big relief. So everything works and it was the first time i put a headunit and speakers in. Thanks for the help.

Haha yup. Ill post pics of speakers and new "deck". It fit beautifully. Looks good.

looks great! I learned a little from this thread too. I was relieved also when I compared the two diagrams i had downloaded off MitchellonDemand (Premuim vs. The base setup) before i had to start frettting about buying the premuim connectors
