Default what do you guys think of this sound package

hey guys i was looking on ebay and i came across this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAR-SUBWOOFE...item53eaae896a

what do you think of this.... now im not looking for a sound system that will rattle the truck... i just want something that adds a little bass for the truck... nothing serious..something a little bit past factory... i have a pretty serious sound setup already in my trans am and i dont want nothing like that in the truck...

Chinese wholesale quality ftl.

From the loos of it... it looks a step below bargain basement. Id go with Pyle before something like that. We have a setup in our shop for a few bones more that would easily do what you wanna do... with better equipment.

1 Quantum 12 in a ported box with a Boss 200wx2... $249.

thats just an example. Just saying theres waaaay better out there. Keep moving.

The sub and amp would work well but I would be leery of that wire

Doesn't look like too bad of a setup for the price. Like said above, the only questionable thing may be the wiring.

Thats more like it...

and wire is wire. Not too much more you can do to improve on it. Its simple plain jane 8g wire... which is perfect for your particular application.

Yeah the first set would probably go out on you in a year or less. But kickers are a good brand, I had two kicker comp's powered with a pretty cheap amp and they sounded good. With a kicker amp I would imagine they would sound great. And like 1madRanger said, wire is wire, you can always get thicker gauge wire, but for a single kicker comp, 8g wire should be fine.

More like it. Would be a good starter system if you listen to rock, metal. country and know how to set up crossovers. Not a good setup for rap, dubstep, or hiphop.

You are sometimes better off buying the wire seperately, locally and getting more bang for the buck. Just know that you need a certain size, but bigger than you need don't do you more good, just costs more.

I still stand my my statement... Wire is wire. And Im a local retailer. Yeah we can give you a better deal because we can charge by exact measurement for your application. Most kits give enough to do a large SUV... which you obvilously dont need in a Ranger. Other than that... go with whatever you feel more comfortable with.

A good source, quality wiring, a quality amp with a subsonic filter, a quality subwoofer in a ported box that fits the space you want it in and is tuned as low as possible or down to 35 hz.

There are different types of wiring for different applications and varying gauges of wiring depending on how much current you need to flow. there is also high strand count, copper, aluminum, solid, etc.
