You don't need rear speakers at all, especially in a single cab.

to REPLACE the back speakers?! Sub not a replacement for speakers. I'd still use some sort of speakers back there if you want the proper mid-range sound. As far as low.. its all in what you want. You can get 2 8"s to sound as good as 2 10"s... all about what exactly you want.

I have a reg cab with 1 10" in ported probox. It sounds GREAT!!! There is some modification involved with the trim panels but was easy to do. Box goes from door to door with port on pass side.

I got the box at a local dealer and the sub from amazon. Already had an amp laying around so i saved money there. got box and sub for right at $200. It pounds when i want it to.

Single 10 is good choice. I will b adding another sub once i swap my seats out for buckets.
