Default 1991 Ford Ranger installing New Stereo Deck

Hello Everyone,
Hi im new to the fordrangerforum. I own a 1991 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 V6. I am trying to figure out the wiring to put in a XOVISION XO1915BT. There seems to be a component to plug the new wires that came with the new deck but i cant find where to plug it in. It seems that the owner before me when they put in their after market stereo did all the wiring themselves, but there was no component like the one that came with the new deck.

Did you get an additional harness to match the Ford plug? Walmart 8-9 bucks.
I just did mine - all good except the speaker wires had been cut previously. Ran new wires.

is it an adaptor your talking about? That plugs into the vehicle radio harness, then you connect the adapter wires to the new head unit wires. If you were smart like me and cut the vehicle radio harness plug off you can still use a wiring diagram and connect it with the head unit harness.

I cut the adapter off the new head unit and wired the new head unit straight to the ford harness. I searched for a compatible plug for the xovision head unit and the ford harness and there wasn't one so i just crimped the wires together according to the wiring diagram.
