| | 2001 Edge radio swap?'s
Hi, I'm a total newbie to radios but I just got a 2001 Edge with the 6 cd changer and my Montero has a stero with an aux port I'd like to put in the Edge. If I take the current stock stereo out it looks like it will be a huge hole compared to what is needed for the new stereo. Is there an aftermarket cover of some sort I need to get or am I just missing something? Thanks.
Jeremy

you can buy a plastic insert that will hold your other stereo plus give you a little cubby hole. you can get the insert at most auto stores.

Maybe I'm just not looking correctly, but iI have the 6 disc stereo and what I'm seeing just doesn't look like the right size to replace?

Order from www.crutchfield.com. They will send you the wiring harness, in-dash receiving kit, and a remove factory din tool for free. Free shipping in most cases too. I buy everything through them. Just click the will it fit my car link.

walmart or best buy should also have them in the car audio department. probably cheaper than crutchfield and will still work the same.
edit: you also know you need to get the harness adapter to plug into the stock harness and connect to the radio, right?
