ok the dreaded "what do you think question"
OK here is my set uo
jvc head-unit nothing special apline front and rears (sound great had them for a while) not amped Sub amp (Planet Audio 3000wt 1 ohm stable) ok I know the 3000 is extremely over rated 2100 @ 1ohm 1500@2ohm 1000@4ohm. I currently have 2 ken-wood 12's 400wt rms. they are ok but of course I want louder. I have the option to go with one jlw7 12.5" I would like to see what yall with do with $600 go with the w7 or give me some other options. btw this forum is great and extremely helpful. my setup right now [IMG]  [/IMG]

That amp actually rated at 2100 @ 1ohm? If its the amp in the pic I find it hard to believe as it looks like your power/ground is 4 awg.
But with 600 to spend on subs look into companies such as Sundown audio (particularly SA models), SKAR audio, Obsidian audio. All three companies have nice entry level 12s and 15s

planet audio "claims" 2100wts at 1ohm
im actually looking into sundown audio, ill check out the other brands too. I have learned there's a ton of different manufactures out there that are good but Ive never heard of them.

JL Audio or bust. Louder isn't always better. Honestly, a JL XD600/1 and a JL 10W3 in a high output box will sound sooooo clean! I'm going to be getting an XD300/1 and a 8W3 in a high output box, shortly with my accommodations order. XD amps run verrrry efficiently too.
